I've been a lolita ..for about 15ish years? Since probably around 2007. I bought my first Bodyline piece in 2006, while looking at maid outfits. (The dress that I bought got left at an ex boyfriend's house, thankfully, before I ever tried to do anything with it.)
I read a lot about it before I really got into the fashion and then my FIRST REAL lolita dress from BTSSB got porch pirated. I purchased it off of egl-comm-sales.
(Even though these dresses aren't my style, anymore. I feel like I'd love to get my hands on this one, just to make up for lost time.)
I quickly realized sometime after buying my first BTSSB dress, that I was actually truly inlove with Angelic Pretty.
This was my first love that got me into Angelic Pretty.
Sadly, I didn't realize quick enough around that time period that I had to drop cash on something immediately and I kept thinking that it'd pop up again. I never got her! Angelic pretty was always a blood bath to try buy from and I was a teenager with very little money.
I did however, achieve my dream dress which was Rose Toilette in black sometime around 2009 with the help of Tenshi.
 I haven't really adjusted to desiring new releases nearly as much as the ones that popped up when I was younger. There are still some releases that I feel will be forever unobtainable. But in general, lolita is much more obtainable in today's market.
I've been into lolita fashion for a very long time, and I have taken many a hiatus; so I think I will always ebb and flow with how much I spend on the fashion. |
